Have your say: Centres Review Development Plan Amendment
Don’t miss the opportunity to have your say on the City of Victor Harbor’s Centres Review Development Plan Amendment (DPA) which looks at the zoning for Neighbourhood Centres (shops and other community facilities) within the Council area.
The draft DPA is about supporting our growing population and strategically planning for investment in building and infrastructure. It also has the potential to provide:
-
Local employment opportunities;
-
Environmental benefits – having shops and facilities closer to new residential developments has the potential to reduce the reliance on cars for everyday purposes;
-
Supporting facilities in, or near, future growth areas outside of the town centre.
The draft DPA affects three sites including the Makris Site on Waitpinga Road, Old TAFE site on Adelaide Road and a ‘deferred’ Community Facilities Zone site on Waggon Road.
All submissions relating to the Centres Review DPA must be received by the City of Victor Harbor by 5pm on Friday, 26 September 2014.
To view the draft DPA, supporting documents and find out how to provide your feedback visit www.victor.sa.gov.au/haveyoursay.
