Investigator toilet block gets a facelift
The City of Victor Harbor will be refurbishing the Investigator toilet block, located adjacent to the Dump Beach at First Avenue, Hayborough.
The update to the facilities will commence on 14 October 2024.
The upgrades seek to address corrosion within the roof, security issues and ongoing vandalism damage to the facility. Amenities will be improved, with the refurbishment also including the recycling of the former causeway timber to be used as cladding.
Mayor Moira Jenkins said the toilet upgrades reflect Council’s goal of providing services and infrastructure that meets the needs of the community.
“It’s wonderful to have these long-awaited upgrades now commencing,” she said.
“Not only will they improve the safety and functionality of the toilet block in perfect timing for summer, but they’ll also make use of recycled timbers from our old causeway which will add character to the area.”
A section of the carpark will be utilised for construction vehicles and materials. The toilet block will be closed from 14 October to 20 October 2024. Any enquiries can be directed to Council on 8551 0500 or localgov@victor.sa.gov.au.
