Regional Public Health Plan for the Southern and Hills LGA
The Regional Public Health Plan for the Southern and Hills LGA was prepared collaboratively between the six constituent councils of the Southern and Hills Local Government Association (S&HLGA) - Adelaide Hills, Alexandrina, Kangaroo Island, Mount Barker, Victor Harbor and Yankalilla. The purpose of the plan is to guide coordinate efforts to improve the health and wellbeing of all residents in the Southern and Hills region. It has been developed to meet the South Australian Public Health Act 2011 and aligns with the State Public Health Plan.

Resilient Hills and Coasts Climate Change Adaptation Plan
The Regional Climate Change Adaptation Plan provides the foundation for a coordinated and collaborative response to climate change impacts and identifies priorities for adaptation across the Resilient Hills and Coasts region which encompasses the Adelaide Hills, Fleurieu Peninsula and Kangaroo Island region.

2030 Regional Transport Plan
The 2030 Regional Transport Plan was developed by the Southern and Hills Local Government Association in 2021. It focuses on freight and people movement efficiency and safety and economic development in the region which encompasses the Adelaide Hills Council, Mount Barker District Council, Alexandrina Council, City of Victor Harbor, District Council of Yankalilla and Kangaroo Island Council.

South Australian Boating Facilities Strategic Plan
The South Australian Boating Facilities Strategic Plan will influence the allocation of boating infrastructure levy funds administered by the Department for Infrastructure and Transport, to which most boat owners contribute, in order to take a more holistic approach to future investment decisions across South Australia. Local councils and large community organisations can apply for funding contributions from the fund towards eligible projects.
Facilities funding will be allocated to achieve the goals of the plan in three key priority areas:
- Activating key boating hubs;
- Connecting key boating routes; and
- Improving safety outcomes.
Southern Fleurieu Coastal Action Plan
The Southern Fleurieu Coastal Action Plan was developed as a collaboration between the Adelaide and Mount Lofty NRM Board (now the Hills and Fleurieu Landscape Board), Alexandrina Council, City of Victor Harbor, District Council of Yankalilla, Goolwa to Wellington Local Action Plan and Department for Environment and Heritage. It sets out actions to conserve our coastal environment.

Regional Youth Strategy 2007-2010
The Regional Youth Strategy 2007 - 2010 sets out a vision for young people in the Alexandrina Council and the City of Victor Harbor.
It aims to provide a framework for actioning Councils' policies and strategies. Young people are our future and it is in the interests of the region that Councils create youth friendly communities - an environment where young people choose to live, work and play.
This document outlines the profile of young people, their issues and concerns, and endeavours to align with relevant National, State and Regional policies and plans. This document informs a policy framework based on the overriding Vision of:
Fostering safe youth friendly communities where young people are respected and experience a strong sense of belonging; - and provides the Objectives and Strategies of the Youth Action Plan. The Youth Action Plan is currently under review.
