Cliff Thorpe Reserve Shelter

The City of Victor Harbor has installed a brand new shelter at Cliff Thorpe Reserve to replace the old gazebo which had reached the end of its life. The installation was completed in December 2022.

Cliff Thorpe Reserve, located at the corner of Bartel Boulevard and Matthew Flinders Drive in Encounter Bay, is a popular park known for its idyllic lakeside beach and easy water access for paddlers.

The shelter upgrade at Cliff Thorpe Reserve has ensured this much-loved reserve can remain a safe and desirable location for the community to enjoy.

Council selected a simple shelter design with a traditional red colorbond roof that will complement the existing nearby toilet block.

At 5m x 5m, the new shelter provides increased seating and additional shade for visitors to the area.

As part of the project, Council also replenished the area with some new paving, including underneath the shelter.

Infrastructure upgrades are an essential service provided the City of Victor Harbor to ensure safety, longevity and enjoyment in public spaces.
