Social Media Guidelines
The City of Victor Harbor has a number of social media pages to communicate, engage and connect with our community.
We welcome and encourage interaction with our social media pages, however we ask that your comments are not defamatory, offensive, disrespectful, abusive or disparaging and do not single out other users, community members, Council staff or Council Members for negative comment.
Comments must never contain hate speech, violent and graphic content or sexual activity. Bullying and harassment, misinformation, spam, inauthentic behaviour, human exploitation and privacy violations will not be tolerated.
The City of Victor Harbor reserves the right to restrict comments or remove content that does not adhere to these guidelines. If you see any behaviour or content that does not adhere to these terms and conditions, please report it to Council at (08) 8551 0500.
All personal complaints or grievances about the City of Victor Harbor and its services should be formally reported by calling (08) 8551 0500 or emailing localgov@victor.sa.gov.au.
Situations requiring immediate attention should be reported by telephoning (08) 8551 0500.
While we will aim to respond to you within 24 hours (with the exception of weekends), please be aware that we are not online 24/7.
It’s also important to note that our social media pages are available to all members of the public, and therefore any text, photographs, or videos that you post may be visible or shared. When posting photographs or videos to our page, please ensure that all people appearing in the material have provided their permission.
