Fleurieu Careers Expo 2026
Fleurieu Careers Expo set to inspire in July.
The Fleurieu Careers Expo will be back on Wednesday 29th July, helping students from around the Fleurieu to explore their career paths.
In a rapidly changing world, it can be confusing to decide on a career and the best path to get there. The 2026 Fleurieu Careers Expo will help students explore their future pathways by bringing together over 40 training providers, universities, apprenticeships and traineeships, government organisations and employers.
The event is coordinated by Fleurieu Peninsula secondary schools (Encounter Lutheran College, Investigator College, Victor Harbor High School, Mt Compass Area School, Goolwa Secondary College and Yankalilla Area School) together with local councils (City of Victor Harbor, Alexandrina Council and Yankalilla Council) and Business Victor Harbor.
City of Victor Harbor Mayor, Dr Moira Jenkins, applauds the expo as a demonstration of the opportunities on the Fleurieu Peninsula.
“I would really like to congratulate the local high schools and our fellow Fleurieu councils for enabling this expo to happen once again,” said Mayor Jenkins.
“Young people don’t have to leave the Fleurieu Peninsula to launch their career. The Careers Expo highlights the range of local employment and further education opportunities that can be accessed right here.”
Acting on feedback from last year’s event, the Fleurieu Careers Expo Organising Committee this year have added several new additions to the expo including:
- University information sessions;
- Women in Stem by Bridget Lindsay, 2025 Young Water Professional of the year;
- Entrepreneurship on the Fleurieu by local business owners by Sam Neeft – Owner / Operator Fleurieu Bikes;
- Apprenticeships and Traineeships by MAS National.
There will also be an Agriculture Career Panel which will bring together three local industry leaders, Adam Wilkinson (Fleurieu Milk), Bruce Hancock (Ag Tertiary Pathways), and Rebekah McCaul (Alexandrina Cheese). Together, they'll offer students a snapshot of the diverse career pathways available within the Fleurieu's agriculture sector.
Regardless of what career pathway young people are looking for, this expo is the opportunity to obtain real and relevant information about careers.
The Fleurieu Careers Expo is on Wednesday 29th July 6-8pm at Investigator College (Bacchus Road, Victor Harbor).
