Have your say on the Community Plan 2030 review
The City of Victor Harbor is seeking feedback on number of proposed revisions to the Community Plan 2030.
The Community Plan 2030 is an important guiding document that outlines Council’s aspirations for Victor Harbor’s future, and the path needed to achieve these.
Every four years, the Council is required to undertake a review of the Community Plan. The last review in 2020 involved a comprehensive redevelopment of the plan and reflecting this, the 2024 review has been minor, aiming to re-affirm the Council’s strategic direction.
The proposed changes include improvements to how Council tracks progress by introducing performance targets, while highlighting the plans and strategies in place to support the aspirations for the city.
A vision has also been articulated within the revised Community Plan 2030 in line with what is proposed within Council’s draft Urban Growth Management Plan.
City of Victor Harbor Chief Executive Officer Victoria MacKirdy said the revision of the Community Plan has drawn on the formal research gathered through Council’s 2022 and 2023 community satisfaction surveys, as well as the 2023 Australian Liveability Census.
“Working to this data ensures that Council’s focus is aligned with our community’s needs and aspirations,” she said.
“This Plan has been developed based on what our community has said is important to them.
“Releasing the proposed revisions for the Community Plan for further community comment makes sure we are on the right track.”
