Wastewater Systems
The construction, installation or alteration of a septic tank system (wastewater system) requires approval under the provisions of the SA Public Health (Wastewater) Regulations 2013.
No work in relation to the construction, installation or alteration of a waste water system can occur until the approval of the relevant authority has been granted.
A completed Onsite Wastewater Application Form must be submitted directly to Council with associated documentation, click here for a listing of information required.
The relevant fees required for lodgement of your application can be obtained by contacting Council.
Certain waste water treatment systems require referral to the Department of Health eg. composting toilets, alternative onsite waste systems. For further information click here for a link to the Public Health website.
