Major Projects
The Council is currently investing in a number of significant capital projects that will elevate Victor Harbor as a modern regional centre. Some of these investments include:
Mainstreet Precinct Master Plan
The 6 stage upgrade to Victor Harbor’s town centre includes a complete upgrade of the streetscapes in Ocean Street, Coral Street and parts of the Albert Place. The upgrade will enable these streets to present a modern aesthetic that enhances outdoor dining retail offerings

McKinlay Street Car Parking
As the town centre grows and evolves the need for car parking to support future development including the needs of the community and visitors will increase.
The Council are currently exploring how the current and future development of car parking can be achieved in the most effective and economically prudent way.
Arts and Culture Centre
The arts and cultural sectors have a vital role to play in activating communities in both a social and economic context. To achieve these aspirations the City has been working toward the development of an Arts & Cultural Centre situated within the heart of the City.
Granite Island Causeway
The South Australian Government are currently investing in the development of a new Causeway that will link the mainland with Granite Island. The new causeway will provide improved levels of access to Granite Island, leading to enhanced tourism and recreational opportunities.
The Council have played an active role in advocating for the investment and facilitating the successful delivery of the project.
