Celebrating Seniors Week in Victor Harbor

Published 22nd September 2025
There's plenty to see and do in Victor Harbor for Seniors Week (1 - 7 October 2025). Why not take the plunge, embrace ageing and try something new?
South Australia's Week of Ageing Well begins on 1 October every year and is a celebration of living and ageing well.
Seniors Week (1 - 7 October 2025) recognises, celebrates and values the diversity and contributions of older South Australians, and provides an opportunity to connect through events and activities that support us all to live meaningful lives.
Seniors week aims to:
  • Encourage people of all ages to connect with each other and have conversations about ageing well.
  • Support a deeper understanding of what ageing well means across the state and highlight the roles we all play in supporting each other to live and age well.
  • Promote activities that support us to live happy and meaningful lives.
  • Support organisations, groups and community members to host events.
  • Raise awareness about ageism, diversity and accessibility.

Seniors are the foundation of our community - wise, generous, and resilient. They have contributed to our region’s growth through decades of hard work, volunteering, caregiving, and leadership. Their stories connect generations, and their presence enriches our lives in countless ways.
