Temporary Road Closure Notice - Whalers Road Reconstruction Project
The City of Victor Harbor, in partnership with contractor BILD Infrastructure, is undertaking a project to reconstruct Whalers Road (between White Crescent and Franklin Parade) in Encounter Bay. The aim of the project is to improve safety and accessibility, and address stormwater drainage issues.
Notice is hereby given pursuant to Section 33(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Act 1961 that the following roads within the vicinity of the project be declared temporarily closed to traffic from Tuesday 2 June to Wednesday 30 September 2026 as specified below:
- Partial road closure of Whalers Road from White Crescent to Franklin Parade.
- Full road closures of Victor Avenue, Clive Avenue, Mollien Avenue, Seacrest Avenue, Coorong Crescent, Moonya Avenue, Bluff Crescent, Lord Hobart Crescent, Raminjeri Crescent, Petrel Avenue.
Detours and traffic management will be in place.
Access will be provided to emergency services, residents and business owners of Whalers Road and adjoining roads at all times.
Exemptions have been granted for the contractors undertaking the construction work.
