Pet Registrations

Dog and cat registration renewal notices are sent to pet owners each year in July.

Depending on the choice you elected, your renewal notice will have arrived either by post, email or SMS. It is important that you do not ignore the renewal notice as late fees and fines may apply.

All dog and cat registrations, including those for breeders, are managed through Dogs and Cats Online (DACO), a one-stop online service for annual registration payments. DACO is also the place to log your pets microchip number and de-sexing details.

Pet owners can complete their renewals online, or those that don’t have internet access can pay at the City of Victor Harbor Civic Centre.

Responsible pet ownership

All dog and cat owners have a responsibility to comply with South Australian Dog and Cat Management laws. This includes compulsory de-sexing, microchipping and registering pets on the Dogs and Cats Online platform.

There are also specific responsibilities for breeders.
