Stormwater upgrade in Encounter Bay

Published 9th February 2024
Last week, Council commenced the installation of new stormwater infrastructure at Island View Crescent in Encounter Bay.

As part of the project, additional inlets and pits are being installed to help manage stormwater flow during heavy rainfall events.

During the construction period there may be some temporary inconveniences for residents. It is requested that all vehicles and pedestrians adhere to signage and traffic management in place around the site to ensure everyone’s safety.

The City of Victor Harbor manages a stormwater network of over 95 kilometres and work is regularly undertaken to ensure fit for purpose stormwater systems are in place.

To reduce the impact of upgrades on ratepayers, Council often seeks opportunities for grant funding. This particular project is 100% funded by the Federal Government’s Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Program.
