Do you need transport assistance?

Published 29th November 2023
The Southern Communities Transport Scheme (SCOTS) provides door-to-door transport for all ages, both locally and to the Adelaide area.

SCOTS is a Community Passenger Network. Our accredited volunteer drivers and commercial operators can transport people of all ages in accredited vehicles.

You are eligible for SCOTS assistance if:

  • you are unable to drive yourself, do not have family or friends that can assist, do not have access to public transport or are temporarily transport disadvantaged for other reasons.
  • you live in the City of Victor Harbor or Alexandrina Council (excluding Strathalbyn and surrounding areas).

This could include transport for:

  • Medical appointments
  • Social activities or groups
  • Shopping
  • Visiting family or friends

The service operates Monday - Friday. Public holidays are excluded, however essential appointments may be considered.

Low cost fees apply for all services. Costs range depending on location and eligibility. A carer or travel companion can travel free to support the passenger.

Bookings are essential for all services. Contact the team on 8551 0760 to check your eligibility or make a booking.
