Browns Bridge Notice
RENAMING OF BRIDGE
BROWNS BRIDGE
The City of Victor Harbor at its meeting held on 24 April 2023 resolved in accordance with Council’s Resolution OC1352023, and pursuant to section 219(1) of the Local Government Act 1999, that:
- The Nettle Hill Road Bridge be renamed Browns Bridge.
The renaming is in recognition of the Browns Family involvement in the area and their connection to the bridge. The Browns Family were prominent Hindmarsh Valley residents from 1890 until 1997 and began the “Lomond Gardens” market garden and orchard selling locally to Port Elliot and Victor Harbor.
