Council's storm damage response

Published 3rd June 2025
Council is prioritising clean-up efforts and repair of damaged assets following the recent severe weather event.

The City of Victor Harbor received a high volume of enquiries and requests relating to the severe weather event on Sunday, 25 May and Monday, 26 May 2025.

Storm damage was recorded in various locations across Victor Harbor, including:

  • Fallen trees
  • Blocked drains
  • Water over roads
  • Washout of unsealed roads
  • Sedimentation on roads
  • Sand and debris along foreshore areas

Council crews were able to provide an immediate emergency response to many urgent calls for assistance, however work is still underway to repair some damaged roads and areas.

Council is currently in the process of inspecting 121 kilometres of unsealed roads to prepare a plan for any grading works that are required to repair storm damage.

We appreciate your patience as we continue to prioritise storm clean-up efforts.
