Event Dates: Friday 20 to Sunday 22 November 2026
Location: Warland Reserve, Victor Harbor
Festival Hours: 7.00pm to 1.00am Friday and Saturday, 3pm to 11pm Sunday.
For more than 25 years, Victor Harbor has been South Australia's premier Schoolies destination. The Schoolies Festival provides a safe, supervised and alcohol-free environment for school leavers celebrating the completion of Year 12.
The event is delivered by charity organisation Encounter Youth in partnership with local councils, emergency services, government agencies, businesses and community stakeholders to support the safety and wellbeing of school leavers while minimising impacts on the local community.

About the Festival
The Schoolies Festival is a three-night event held annually at Warland Reserve. The festival offers a range of entertainment, activities and support services for school leavers in a controlled and supervised environment.
Encounter Youth coordinates the event in partnership with the City of Victor Harbor, Alexandrina Council and key emergency services and government agencies.
Schoolies Management Response
Victor Harbor's Schoolies Management Response has evolved over more than 25 years and is delivered through a coordinated partnership between the charity organisation Encounter Youth, local councils, emergency services, government agencies, businesses and community stakeholders.
The response combines education, support services, event management and public safety measures to provide a safe and enjoyable experience for school leavers while minimising impacts on the broader community.
Schoolies Festival at Warland Reserve
A dedicated, drug and alcohol-free festival precinct operating each night of Schoolies, providing entertainment, activities and support services in a supervised environment.
Endorsed Accommodation Providers
Participating accommodation providers work closely with event organisers and include Schoolies Festival entry as part of their Schoolies packages, promoting responsible and safe celebrations.
Schoolies Wristband System
Official wristbands assist in identifying legitimate Year 12 school leavers and provide access to festival activities and endorsed accommodation programs.
Think Road Safety Bus Service
A free shuttle bus service operates between Goolwa and Victor Harbor, helping school leavers travel safely throughout the Schoolies weekend.
Green Team Volunteers
More than 350 trained volunteers support accommodation sites, transport services, the festival precinct and community operations, providing assistance, welfare support and a visible presence throughout the event.
Centralised Event Medical Services
A dedicated event medical centre operates in partnership with SA Ambulance Service and St John Ambulance SA, ensuring timely medical care while helping protect local health services for residents and visitors.
Increased Police Presence
South Australia Police maintain an enhanced operational presence during Schoolies, supported by education and harm-minimisation initiatives designed to promote safe and responsible behaviour.
Dry Zone and Traffic Management
Temporary dry zones, traffic controls, parking restrictions and pedestrian safety measures are implemented to support public safety and manage increased visitor numbers during the event.
The success of the Schoolies operation is built on long-standing collaboration between government agencies, emergency services, community organisations, local businesses and residents. Continuous review and improvement ensure the event remains safe, well-managed and responsive to community expectations.
