Five minute survey to help shape business support
Victor Harbor businesses are encouraged to complete an online survey that will help tailor services and programs that will help local business grow and thrive.
The survey is a collaboration between the City of Victor Harbor and the Victor Harbor and District Business Association (VHBA) seeks to provide a clearer understanding of the challenges and opportunities that face businesses within the community.
The survey aims to help Council improve how it communicates with the business community.
‘The Council have various processes that contribute to informing how we design policy, strategy and delivery of initiatives. The business survey is an important tool that will help our Economic Development division to deliver projects and services that best meet the needs of our business community,’ said City of Victor Harbor Mayor Graham Philp.
‘We understand that a prosperous and vibrant business environment is critical to ensuring employment opportunities for our community while contributing toward achieving the Council’s vision that promotes Victor Harbor as a place of opportunity,’ said Mayor Philp.
The Council is planning to circulate business surveys in November annually, ensuring that over time information can be benchmarked to gain an insight into trends in local business needs, expectations and confidence.
VHBA President Nick Gormley endorsed the comments of the Mayor.
‘It is important that community decision-makers are informed of the challenges and opportunities that face our businesses. The VHBA encourages all local businesses to allocate five minutes of their day to complete the survey as the information will be really valuable in designing support that is relevant,’ said Mr Gormley.
The business surveys will be completely anonymous with no mandatory requirements for businesses to identify themselves.
To spark interest amongst business leaders the VHBA have sponsored an iPad Mini as a prize for participating businesses who complete the survey before Wednesday, 14 December 2016.
