Encounter Rhyme and Storytime is a fun and interactive session designed for children from 0 - 6 years of age. This is a free program which includes a combination of singing, dancing, craft, activities and story time.

Please remember to wear your 'craft clothes' as craft and/or sensory activities are often full of messy fun! Each session is approximately 45 minutes in length and it is a wonderful opportunity to socialise for both children and parents alike.

Sessions are held every Tuesday morning at 9.45 am.

Baby Bounce

Baby Bounce is a program developed for parents and babies aged 0 - 30 months. It consists of 30 minutes of songs and rhymes with a sensory aspect. The sessions are interactive, fun, and beneficial to both caregiver and child.

Singing and rhymes are a part of early literacy. Singing develops your child’s communication, voice development and helps with their emotional well-being.

Sessions are held every Friday morning at 9.45 am.

Little Feet, Big Steps

Little Feet, Big Steps is a great opportunity to bond and socialise for both children and their caregivers while getting some of those mid-morning wriggles out. This program is designed for for toddlers and preschoolers (1 - 6 years)

Song, rhythm and movement are an important part of early literacy. Did you know that both advance your child’s communication skills, strengthens voice development and can even help with emotional regulation and well-being? This in conjunction with STEM inspired games and activities that will help with your little one's brain development and coordination.

Sessions are held every Wednesday morning at 10.30am during the school term.

Children's University - Approved Learning Destination

Children cannot aspire to what they don’t know. The Children's University’s aim is to encourage children to try new experiences outside of school learning activities, and recognises their achievements through the award of formal certificates.

How to get involved

Currently Children's University membership is based around a child's school, and the school has to be registered with Children's University for the child to be able to participate. The Children's University program aims to provide extra-curricular learning opportunities for children aged between 7 - 14 years.

The Victor Harbor Library is an approved 'Learning Destination'. Qualifying learning activities held at the library will be promoted with the Children's University logo.
