Muwerang/Kent Reserve Playground gets a facelift

Published 2nd May 2024
A section of Muwerang/Kent Reserve Playground will be closed for most of May while work is undertaken to upgrade ageing play equipment.

From Monday 6 May 2024, work will get underway to replace some of the ageing play equipment at Muwerang/Kent Reserve.

Once installed, the new play structure will include a tunnel slide, double slide, pommel climber, tarzan maze, spider net and plank walk.

Replacing ageing playgrounds is a part of Council's asset management process, and is necessary to ensure the longevity, enjoyment and safety of our infrastructure. Muwerang/Kent Reserve was selected as a priority due to the age of the equipment and popularity of the foreshore reserve.

The playground replacement is 100% grant funded through Phase 4 of the Federal Government's Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Program.
