These group sessions are self-directed and offer a great opportunity to mingle.
Scrabble: Monday 1 pm - 3 pm
Knitting: Wednesday 10:30 am - 12 noon
Chess: Wednesday 1 pm - 3pm
Charles Dickens Group: First Thursday of the month 2 pm - 4 pm
French Conversation Group: Third Thursday of the month 2:30 pm - 4 pm
Holiday Programs and Special Events
Events are held during holiday periods for both children and adults.
Events are advertised regularly on our website, Facebook page and in the library. Join the Friends of the Library to receive notification of what's on.
Navigator Book Club
The Navigator Book Club is run in conjunction with the Royal Society for the Blind for those using Audio-Read Navigators, a print alternative.
Fourth Monday of the month from 10 am to 12 noon
Family History Help
Would you like to trace your family history but don't know where to start? Encounter Bay Family History Group volunteers can show you how!

Encounter Rhyme and Storytime
Enjoy action songs and nursery rhymes with your baby or toddler. Share a story and then get creative with fun toys for the bubs or a craft activity for the 2+ year olds. Session is suitable for 0-6 year olds.
Helping you grow great kids!
Parent or carer supervision is required for the entire session.
Every Tuesday 9:45 am to 10:30 am and Wednesday 10:30 am to 11:15 am during school term. Wednesday is a repeat of the Tuesday session. Book your space via our Events page
The library offers access to multiple book club sets, as well as hosting U3A monthly book club meetings.

The Friends of the Victor Harbor Library
The Friends are the social fundraising arm of the Victor Harbor Public Library.
The Friends Committee organise fundraising events such as book sales, raffles, and various other events inclucing guest speakers and educational/literary afternoons.
