Caring Neighbourhood Program
The Caring Neighbourhood Program is made up of a group of volunteers who extend friendship and support to people who are isolated from their community as a result of age related issues. The Caring Neighbourhood Program extends across the Southern Fleurieu covering the council areas of Victor Harbor and Alexandrina. Each day a volunteer from the Caring Neighbourhood Program helps someone in the local community.
The program is supported by the Victor Harbor and Alexandrina Councils. The Councils provide the infrastructure and co-fund the program with Commonwealth Home Support funding. The program is facilitated by staff who visit the clients to ascertain their needs and manage the valuable team of volunteers.
The Caring Neighbourhood Program sincerely thanks the volunteers for their unfailing kindness to people who live in the communities of the Southern Fleurieu.
