Recreation Centre

The Recreation Centre is more than a sports venue offering the Inman Room, with fully functional kitchen and toilet facilities which is ideal for conferences, meetings and wedding receptions.  The Hindmarash Room, for small to medium size meetings and of course there are two multi sports stadiums capable of use for a wide range of activities including basketball, volleyball, netball, badminton and gym.  The centre is the ideal venue to host district or state sporting competitions and events.

Inman Room

Suitable for functions, meetings, conferences, weddings, dances and fitness etc. With a fully functional kitchen available and fitted with Hearing Loop Amplifier to assist hearing impaired persons who wear a hearing aid. Seats up to 300 persons with heating and cooling facilities, parquetry flooring and its own separate bathroom facilities.

Hindmarsh Room

Available for hire Monday to Friday from 4pm and all weekend. This room is suitable for use for meetings or additional space in conjunction with the Stadiums and seats up to 180 persons with carpet flooring and heating/cooling facilities.

Stadiums

Stadium One: A fully functional lined court for Basketball, Volleyball, Badminton etc with 5 basketball rings and backboards. Can be used for large conferences/meetings with seating up to 750 persons
Stadium Two: A specialised sports only functional sprung court for Basketball, Netball, Volleyball etc and spectator seating

Liquor Licence

The sale or consumption of liquor at all Council Facilities is forbidden without a relevant Liquor Licence.  Examples if a Liquor Licence is required:

  • Where the consumption of liquor is included in the cover charge eg: Food, drinks and entry included in the one ticket price, even at a private home
  • Where entry is by donation
  • Where wine tasting is being offered with a view to selling wine, whether at the event or in the future;
  • Where liquor is offered as a ‘gift’ when an item is purchased
