WHALE WATCHING

2009 promises to be an exciting Whale Sighting Season across the State. With the introduction of a Statewide "Whale Spotters Network" the South Australian Whale Centre hopes to record more whale sightings than ever, letting you know where to look....

There are over 45 Species of Cetaceans which can spotted off South Australia's coastline throughout the year, including Blue whales, Humpback whales and occasionally Sperm whales.

If you are whale spotting in South Australia look out for the arrival of Southern Right whales from May to October.

If you see a whale please report it to the
South Australian Whale Centre by calling
