Help shape the future of the City of Victor Harbor’s library services

Don’t miss your chance to shape the future of the City of Victor Harbor’s library services.

The council is currently asking the community to share their thoughts on its library as a part of its service review commitment.

“We want to know what people love about our library, what services they most value, suggestions for things that could be done differently and any ideas for new initiatives,” said City of Victor Harbor Mayor Moira Jenkins.

“Whether you are a regular visitor or someone who has never stepped foot in our library, we want to hear your views.”

“We have had a great response to our call for feedback so far but we want to hear from as many people as possible to get a clear picture of how the community use the services available at the library, and what the library should look like in the future.”

People can share their views by completing a survey online at www.yoursay.victor.sa.gov.au or in hard copy at the library. Elected members and staff will also be out in Victor Harbor during January talking to the community about the library.

“We plan to spend some time in the Mainstreet Precinct on 10 January and at Victa Central on 23 January talking to our community about the library,” said Mayor Jenkins.

“Life is busy, and we understand not everyone has time to complete a survey or provide written feedback. So we have made a commitment to get out and have conversations with residents and ratepayers to better understand their views on the library, and council services in general.”

“We want to be a council that is accessible, and there for the community. If you are unable to attend a listening post, or don’t have access to the online survey you can contact me, or one of your elected members, and we will do our best to come to you.”

Details of the community listening posts and information about how you can have your say on the City of Victor Harbor’s library services are available online at www.yoursay.victor.sa.gov.au or from the Council Office and Library at 1 Bay Road, Victor Harbor.

Community members have until 5pm on 1 February 2019 to complete the survey and have their say.

Questions about the library services review can be directed to (08) 8551 0500.
