Facilities Hire

Several Council facilities are available for hire. These include the Town Hall, Recreation Centre, Old School Building, Ovals and Reserves and Mobile Stage.

If you would like to hire a reserve for a Major Event (Greater than 200 people) please contact the Tourism Marketing and Events Officer at the City of Victor Harbor on 08 8551 0500.

Booking Procedure

All bookings must be made through the Victor Harbor Council Office. Telephone bookings will be accepted, however, unless a completed application form is returned within seven days, the booking will not be considered firm.
All fees payable at least seven days prior to the required date, unless special arrangements have been made with the Council.
Keys can be obtained from the Council Office on the last working day prior to the required day of hire, and must be returned by 12 noon the next working day.
A $50 cash key deposit is required upon collection of keys and refunded at return of the key.
Cancellations with less than 48 hours notice will result in fees paid being forfeited.

Town Hall

The Victor Harbor Town Hall is situated at 10-12 Coral Street, Victor Harbor. The facility is available for hire for multi purposes, from dancing classes, film evenings, meetings & wedding receptions. The main hall measures 21mx 13.5m with seating for 233, plus an upstairs gallery seating 40. The stage measures 12mx 11m and is serviced by three curtains.

Bond required on booking - $300 OR sum set at Council's discretion.
Key deposit - $50 cash only.

Rehearsals and decorating per hour: $28, (minimum charge 2 hours) -$50.00

Charitable Purposes reduction 25%

Victor Harbor Recreation Centre

Located in the Victor Harbor High School

Old School Building

The Old School Building Community Centre is centrally located in Victor Harbor ( in the Woolworth's Carpark next to KFC ). It is operated by the City Of Victor Harbor as an affordable venue for community groups to hold meetings. The building is wheelchair accessible and has a wheelchair accessible toilet. It is available to community groups for regular and occasional hire.

Boardroom- small meetings up to 12 people (providing office not used)
Main Meeting Room - meetings for up to 30 to 40 people
Kitchen - urn, mugs, toilets (including disabled)

Community Groups (non-profit) Regulars - $11.00
Community Groups (non-profit) Non-Regulars - $16.00 (Other Groups - by Negotiation)

Full carpark fee - $1,000 (peak) or $500 (off peak)
Half carpark fee - $500 (peak) or $250 (off peak)
Third carpark fee - $330 (peak) or $165 (off peak)
Non-profit groups - 50% off peak price or during off peak season $50 flat rate.
