Waste Collection
Waste collection is managed by The Fleurieu Regional Waste Authority (FRWA). FRWA was formed by Alexandrina Council, City of Victor Harbor, Kangaroo Island Council and Yankalilla District Council, to provide sustainable and cost effective waste management and recycling services for its communities.
FRWA have a fleet of environmentally friendly, high performance waste collection vehicles and commenced with the provision of all kerbside collection services for the mainland Councils from 1 July 2011.

Waste Transfer Station
Alexandrina Council and the City of Victor Harbor, through the Fleurieu Regional Waste Authority, have joined forces to manage waste and recyclables jointly at the existing Goolwa Waste and Recycling Depot from Monday 1st October 2012, resulting in the Victor Harbor Waste Transfer Station being closed.
This regional initiative has increased service levels by having a ‘One-Stop-Shop’ Waste Transfer Facility for all waste and recyclables with extended operating days and times, operated and managed by the Fleurieu Regional Waste Authority.
